Sockeye salmon’s habitat ranges from Northern Japan across the Bering Sea to Alaska, and down the West Coast to Southern Oregon. Most of our Sockeye come out of Bristol Bay which is the home of the world’s largest wild sockeye run, but we source sockeye out of a variety of Alaska river systems which are individually known for their unique, high quality, and world-famous fish. The Copper River is one example and this run starts out the Sockeye season during the third week in May.
